Robots That Vacuum and Mop Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of removing dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet messes (spills, staining) in one session without having to swap out devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces. A good combination bot will provide excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bins, refill their water tank and machine-wash their mopping pads using an appropriate dock. 1. Eufy S1 Pro It has a lot to offer for its relatively low cost, and it's one of the most simple robots we've tested to install. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you running with a clean, complete dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in no time. The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops spin at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a variety of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app which lets you select the type of cleaning you want for each room. For instance, you can choose to have the robot take care of a thorough clean-up in the kitchen and living rooms but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models can't. The only issue it has is that it can crash into walls and objects at full speed - but an instant glance at the history of cleaning within the app will show you exactly what it's doing, where it's going and what obstacles it's run into or avoided. A large LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance tasks need to be done including emptying the debris tray and washing the water tank that is dirty. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank using a 600ml bottle of Eufy's own solution. Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time and the mop is capable of running for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode, while the vacuum is able to do 136 minutes in normal mode before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. You can view the entire cleaning information in the app, which is clearly laid out and easily understood however we would like to be able to distinguish between a vacuum only or mop and vacuum clean when looking at a clean area in the cleaning history. 2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's most popular robot mop and vacuum. The model of this year features a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This enhances the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to pull up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners might miss. Like the two other Roborock models I've tried it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that help it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates two cameras that can recognize objects, determining whether they're walls or other surfaces. It can then automatically change its path and clean around them without skipping a beat. This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, but it's also loaded with features. Its sleek, angular design is striking and only has three physical buttons that include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button to send the robot back to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank self-empties and the bin is auto-filling. The only downside I found with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if it's required) but it's a challenge to remove the mount to wash it manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which can cause scratches. The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of intelligent features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can set up and manage these via the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings, track the battery life and maintain your components. However, you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to enable voice control on this model, which is a shame considering the quality of its performance. 3. Dreame X40 The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a market leader with its innovative features, top suction power and cutting-edge mowing capabilities. Its innovative design allows for customised and efficient cleaning while also saving time. The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner to provide 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the most effective options available. This powerful vacuum can clean up dry debris, including pet hair and food particles. autonomous vacuum comes with a high-quality mop that leaves hard floors spotlessly clean, even with a wet pad. Additionally the X40 is extremely quiet during it's operation, producing only occasional bursts of sound when switching modes or completing self-maintenance tasks. Another notable feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush, which allows it to get into difficult-to-access corners as well as clean curved furniture like table and chair legs. The robot is also able to reach under furniture that is low-profile which makes it an ideal option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush automatically tilts down when it detects wet spots. This is a nice feature that enables the X40 to prevent damage to floors from excessive back-and forth movements. In contrast to other robots that are restricted to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum at the same time. It can also be programmed to skip areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors, and vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation. The app is simple and user-friendly and the X40's intelligent features are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, look at floor plans and maps, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and notify you when it's finished. The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous features that make it a great choice for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a huge 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, and refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. It will also tell you whether the mop pad has reached its maximum capacity and alert you to the situation before it overflows. 4. L20 Ultra The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive models available however, it comes with a lot of extra features that distinguish it from. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature of its mop heads, makes use of two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles and pick up spills and dirty spots. The mop is also cleaned and dried inside the base station after each use. This is a fantastic feature as it stops the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and also makes the mop system more efficient. It's a system that has yet to be seen on other robot vacuum and mop models and could be a great way of keeping your home clean for longer. There's a plethora of options available which include the ability to schedule cleaning and adjust a variety of preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app, or via buttons that can be found on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and offers a variety of options to customize your cleaning routine. It also has many features that aren't available on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction whenever it detects dust particles. The L20 Ultra is also one of the most elegant robots we've seen on market, sporting metallic and white design that looks classy and sophisticated. It is a little heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots on this listing however it's not excessively heavy. It feels solid and well-constructed. The mopping design is also excellent, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors and in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to extend up to 2mm below the baseboards.
